Can I order your products online?
Absolutely. In our secure online shop you can buy all available and in stock products.

What do I do if an item is "sold out"?
Once a product reaches a critical inventory level, products are backordered. If you are interested in a specific product, please feel free to contact us about it contact form indicate your interest. We may be able to provide you with an update on the back order status.

Why are the translations so strange?
As we are woodworkers and not professional translators, we use an automated plugin based on Google Translate to translate our website. This often results in strange translations that can prove hilarious or frustrating at times. We sincerely apologize for this and thank you for your patience while browsing our website. Instructions are available in English for which we use DeepL recommend if you are looking for a more accurate, free translation service.

I bought a pen kit but when I received it the pen was not ready.
Yes that is normal. WTTech.de is an online shop aimed specifically at turners and woodworkers. This means that a "project kit" is just that... a "project kit"kit"Unless specifically stated. Why is there a different logo or name on the label of my kit?
WTTech works in proud partnership with the best designers and manufacturers of turned and other woodworking products from around the world. This includes suppliers and designers such as Prokraft and Penn State Industries . We work very closely with their teams to bring you the highest quality at the best prices.

What payment methods are accepted?
We currently only accept bank transfers (our preferred form of payment) and PayPal , through which you may be able to pay by SEPA direct debit, credit card and other payment methods. All transactions are in EUR.

I represent an official authority or organization. Can I pay "on account"?
A payment "on account" for authorities is only possible after prior agreement. Before placing an order, please contact WTTech directly, as the web shop only accepts payments by direct bank transfer and Paypal.

When I go to checkout, I get the message "By placing your order, you agree to..." why get me this message ?
According to German law, we must ensure that the buyer agrees to our terms and conditions, privacy policy and return policy before making a purchase. These guidelines can be viewed by clicking on "Terms and Conditions", "Privacy Policy" and "Revocation Policy".

How much does delivery cost?
Depending on your geographic location and the weight of your order, shipping costs will vary. When you add items to the shopping cart, you will be prompted to go to the shopping cart. There you will receive a standard estimate for Germany. If you do not live in Germany, you will be asked to enter your postal address and select a payment method. In the next step you will get the final costs for your country. If you agree, accept the terms and conditions and confirm the order. Of course, large quantities will increase postage costs due to the extra weight. Please contact us about that contact form to clarify the shipping cost for such bulk orders.

Which postal service do you use?
Currently we use DHL , our standard service, and Hermes . Specifically within Germany we use DHL for light weight shipments and Hermes for anything over 5kg. For international orders (EU only) we only use DHL.

Is it possible to request a different delivery service?
On request, we can also use other services such as UPS, Fedex or DPD. Please sit down in front Contact us with your purchase if you would like us to use an alternative service so that we can ensure such options exist for your address. Depending on your location, some of these options may not be available. We only ship to EU locations (see below). If you live in a "remote area" within the EU, the shipping calculator may not show an accurate shipping cost. Even if your ordered quantity is unusually large, the estimate may not be accurate. We will contact you directly via email to resolve these issues.

Which countries do you ship to?
We currently only ship to EU countries (as defined on the DHL website): Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark (excluding Faroe Islands and Greenland), Estonia, Finland (excluding Aaland), France (excluding DOM-TOMs), Germany, Greece ( except Athos), Ireland, Italy (except Livigno and Campione d'Italia), Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands (except non-European territories), Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (except Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla), Czech Republic, Hungary and Cyprus (except Northern Territories). We reserve the right to cancel and refund orders from locations outside of this list.

How long does the delivery take?
This may vary due to a number of factors, most of which are beyond our control. Once your payment is received we aim to ship within 2 days. Shipping (the time between the package leaving us and getting it to you) is difficult to quantify, but a good rule of thumb is: Within Germany between 2-5 days and for the rest of the EU around 5-8 days.

Do you offer insured deliveries?
Absolutely. All our PAKET deliveries via DHL and Hermes are insured up to a goods value of EUR 500 in accordance with their general terms and conditions. No additional insurance is offered. WTTech assumes no liability for transport damage. All DHL EU PÄCKCHEN deliveries are delivered without transport insurance and shipment tracking. All Hermes packages are insured up to a value of 50 EUR according to their general terms and conditions.

Returns and Exchanges

I am not satisfied with one of the products I bought from you. What should I do?
We only accept returns of unopened and unused kits. Please use this contact form (Category: order request) and be sure to include your order number. After receiving your report, we will contact you to agree on how to proceed with your complaint.

The package I received from you is damaged. What should I do?
Please tell us about that contact form with (Category: order request). Be sure to include your order number. We will endeavor to resolve this insurance issue with the carrier. We will contact you for details and pictures of the damaged package. WTTech acts as an intermediary between you (the buyer) and the carrier, but accepts no responsibility for goods damaged in transit.

One of the products I bought from you is defective. What should I do?
If any of the products you have purchased are defective on arrival we will endeavor to supply you with a replacement. In order to process this request as easily as possible for both sides, please use this contact form (Category: order request). Be sure to include your order number. After receiving your report, we will contact you to agree on how to proceed with your complaint. We assume no liability for personal injury or damage to property caused by improper or non-intended use of our products.

Is your site secure?
Absolutely. This website runs in secure HTTP mode and is therefore "safe". You can see this in some browsers by the yellow lock symbol in the address bar and by the fact that the page address begins with "https://".

Do you offer secure payment?
Yes absolutely. We only accept 2 secure payment methods: PayPal and direct bank transfers.

What does the “Der_Grüner_Punkt” logo mean in your imprint?
According to German law, all companies that send physical packages to customers must join a packaging license system. The packaging license of WTTech takes place in cooperation with The green dot. In doing so, we strive to be an environmentally conscious company and we challenge you, the customer, to do the same. Please observe local regulations when disposing of plastic or cardboard containers that you receive from us. This is not only right, but also ethical.

Why is there no receipt in my package?
As a participant in the German packaging license system The green dot we try to reduce our consumption of plastic, paper and cardboard packaging and pads to an absolute minimum. Therefore, no paper receipt will be enclosed with your package. However, you will receive a separate electronic receipt for your order via email in .pdf format. If you would like a physical receipt, please let us know during the checkout process.
